Living Dreams and Smile Kids Japan have teamed up to support 18 childrens homes in the Tohoku region. This support will address both near term and long term needs of these homes.

Living Dreams brings to this partnership its extensive program experience working in children’s homes, Smile Kids Japan manages a broad network of children’s home volunteers all across Japan.

www.livingdreams.jp currently works with 33 children homes in Tokyo bringing enriching and empowering programs using the L.A.S.T model (Learning, Arts, Sports and Technology)

www.smilekidsjapan.org currently works in 25 prefectures across Japan helping place committed regular volunteers at children’s homes for mentoring.

The recent disaster in Japan provided these organisations with an immediate goal to meet the initial and long term needs of 18 children’s homes.

These organisations have developed the concept of the “dream home”
This dreamhome model can take on various forms including computerlabs, mentors for education, counselling support, summer camps, art programs, education provision, right up to university scholarships.
